1. Agreement
By accessing MRDRInc., creating an account, purchasing a product or service, creating or joining a game, or using the platform, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked from them.
A purchaser must have legal capacity to enter into the transaction. A parent, guardian, or other authorized adult should make purchases for participants who have yet to reach the age of majority in their jurisdiction.
2. The MRDRInc. Service
MRDRInc. provides interactive murder mystery experiences delivered through a web based platform.
Features may include purchased case access, host controls, character assignments, invitations, private roles, evidence, messaging, game phases, accusations, downloadable materials, and custom mystery production.
Individual cases may support different player counts, audiences, themes, difficulty levels, features, and host options.
3. Accounts
Customers are responsible for maintaining accurate account information and protecting account credentials.
Purchased case entitlements are connected to the purchasing account. Account sharing that gives unrelated purchasers access to paid cases falls outside the personal use license.
Game guests receive access through the invitation and session systems associated with the specific hosted event.
4. Purchases, Prices, and Payment
Prices displayed by MRDRInc. are shown in the currency identified on the website or checkout. The current store operates in United States dollars.
The checkout displays the products selected, price, applicable discounts, taxes where required, and the total payable before the order is submitted.
Payment processing is provided through WooCommerce and supported payment providers such as Stripe.
Purchases are subject to the Refund Policy and applicable consumer protection laws.
5. Digital Case License
Purchasing a Ready to Play or Premium case grants the purchaser a personal, revocable, non-transferable license to access and use that case for private game events.
Permanent case access means the purchased case entitlement has no recurring subscription expiration date. Ownership of the intellectual property, software, story material, platform, and underlying case content remains with MRDRInc. and its licensors.
License Limits
Activities outside the purchased license include:
- reselling case access
- redistributing case files
- publishing protected solution material
- copying cases for commercial resale
- selling admission to repeated commercial performances without a separate commercial agreement
- reverse engineering or reproducing the MRDRInc. platform or case system
6. Hosts and Guests
The purchaser or host controls the event and is responsible for choosing participants, determining whether a case is appropriate for the group, communicating event details, and operating the game according to the host materials.
Guest access is intended for participants in the specific game to which they were invited.
Case descriptions and audience information should be reviewed by the host when choosing an experience for children, teens, families, workplaces, or other groups.
7. Custom Cases
A Custom Case is a personalized creative service based on information supplied by the purchaser through the custom case intake and related communications.
The purchaser is responsible for providing accurate event requirements, deadlines, player information, restrictions, and requested themes.
Production timing follows the delivery or completion information presented at purchase and any later schedule agreed between MRDRInc. and the purchaser.
Customer specific names, photographs, documents, and other submitted materials remain owned by their respective owners. The purchaser grants MRDRInc. permission to use submitted materials for the purpose of creating, delivering, supporting, and maintaining the requested custom case.
MRDRInc. retains ownership of its platform, software, templates, game systems, story structures, mechanics, reusable assets, production methods, and other pre-existing intellectual property.
The completed custom mystery is licensed for the purchaser's personal or private event use unless a separate commercial or ownership agreement is made in writing.
8. Information and Content You Submit
You are responsible for material you submit through contact forms, custom case intake, guest lists, uploads, event setup, and other platform features.
By submitting material, you confirm that you have the rights, permission, or lawful authority required to provide it and allow MRDRInc. to use it for the requested service.
9. Intellectual Property
The MRDRInc. name, branding, website, interface, software, artwork, cases, characters, written content, game mechanics, host materials, evidence structures, downloadable materials, and related creative assets are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
The purchase of a product grants the license described in these Terms rather than ownership of the underlying intellectual property.
10. Acceptable Use
Prohibited uses include:
- attempting unauthorized access to accounts, games, servers, or administrative systems
- interfering with platform security or operation
- using automated tools to extract protected case content
- redistributing purchased case materials
- using the service for unlawful activity
- uploading malicious software or harmful code
- impersonating another person
- using guest access outside the event for which it was issued
11. Service Operation
MRDRInc. may update cases, improve interfaces, repair technical issues, add functionality, modify hosting infrastructure, and maintain the platform as the service evolves.
Scheduled maintenance, provider interruptions, internet connectivity, browser behavior, device settings, and third party systems may affect temporary availability.
12. Third Party Services
MRDRInc. uses third party technology and service providers for functions such as hosting, payments, forms, email delivery, infrastructure, and security.
Third party services operate under their own terms and privacy practices.
13. Responsibility and Liability
MRDRInc. provides entertainment products and creative services. Hosts remain responsible for event supervision, participant safety, venue conditions, food and beverage service, physical props, and real world activities connected to the event.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MRDRInc.'s aggregate liability arising from a specific product or service is limited to the amount paid to MRDRInc. for that product or service.
14. Account or Access Restrictions
MRDRInc. may restrict access associated with fraud, unlawful activity, security threats, unauthorized redistribution, platform abuse, or material violation of these Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada.
Consumer rights that apply based on a purchaser's location continue to apply where required by law.
Legal proceedings may be brought before a court of competent jurisdiction according to applicable law.
16. Changes to These Terms
MRDRInc. may update these Terms as the platform, products, business model, or legal requirements change. The current version will appear on this page with the effective date shown above.
